Changelog
What is new in KeepIt.
1.0.6 — Latest
October 2026.
- Clearer store description: the Chrome Web Store summary now says what is free and that you only sign in for sync, sharing and Pro.
- Optional feedback prompt: after you have used KeepIt for about a week, a small card asks how it is working for you. You can write a review on the Chrome Web Store, send private feedback, or dismiss it. It appears at most twice and never while a dialog is open.
October 2026 launch build
The build published at launch (1.0.5).
- Launch offer: the first 100 users get 30 days of Pro free, no card needed. Sign in, open Upgrade and choose "Claim my free month".
- Live links: pick the tabs to share, copy the link, and manage everything from "My live links" (copy, update now, revoke). Pro adds auto-update, expiry and bigger lists. Followed lists refresh every 15 seconds.
- Notes on tabs: add notes to sessions and spaces, and optionally show them as a small card on the page.
- Search your spaces: find a tab in any space, even one that is not open, and jump straight to it.
- Trash & Version History: deleted items stay in Trash for 30 days, and earlier versions are kept for 30 days (90 on Pro). Export your data as JSON or HTML.
- Duplicates and merge: close duplicate tabs and merge two sessions into one.
- Right-click any page and choose KeepIt → Move to space.
- Tab Memory settings reorganized in Tools & Settings, with a "never freeze these sites" list.
- Sessions can have a note when you save them.
1.8.2
A major update.
- A space opens on the tab you were last using. Only that tab loads at once; the others open asleep and load when you look at them.
- New name: KeepIt – Tab Workspaces & Session Manager.
- Fixed the "Upgrade" link in the web dashboard so it opens your account page.
New since 1.0.5
Everything added in the 1.x series before the October 2026 build.
- Spaces: one named set of tabs per project. Switch in one click; pinned tabs and tab groups come back as you left them.
- One window plus a minimized "Hidden Tabs" window instead of a new window for every space. Tabs you leave are moved, not closed.
- Smooth opening: big spaces open gradually, so Chrome does not freeze. Idle tabs in your other spaces can go to sleep after a time you choose.
- Quick switcher:
Alt+Shift+K(Cmd+Shift+Kon Mac), thektaddress-bar keyword, and next/previous-space shortcuts. - Account sync of spaces (off by default) with safe merging between computers.
- Go back to the space you just left, keep-awake tabs, earlier versions of a space and bring-back of closed tabs.
- Live links and tab notes.
- Local files (such as PDFs) reopen correctly.
- New plans: Free now includes 10 spaces and 30-day history; Pro adds 90-day history and unlimited spaces.
- Plain-language wording throughout, and a full list of shortcuts in Settings.
- Security hardening and a minified production build.
