When you work on several clients or tickets in one day, the real cost is not the tabs, it is the switching. You close one set to focus on another, then spend ten minutes finding where you were. A small system fixes that.
1. One space per project
Create a KeepIt space for each client, project or ticket, and give it a clear name such as "Client A: website" or "TICKET-123". Switch with one click, with Alt+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on Mac), or by typing "kt" in the address bar. Tabs, pinned tabs and tab groups come back as you left them.
2. Add notes so you remember why
Add a short note to any tab or session, for example "check the numbers on page 3". Notes are free, are saved with the session, and show up when you search. A tab can hold up to 500 characters and a session up to 2,000.
3. Pin what you always need
Keep always-needed tools pinned inside the space. Pinned tabs return with the space.
4. Keep Chrome light
Turn on Auto-Freeze so idle background tabs sleep and free memory without closing. Add sites that should never sleep, such as your documentation or dashboards. Active, pinned and audio-playing tabs are always skipped.
5. Archive when the project ends
- Save the space's tabs as a session.
- Put it in a folder named after the client.
- Delete the space to keep your list short.
Next time that client calls, restore the session and pick up where you left off.
6. Share status without sending a pile of links
Create a live link of the tabs you tick, for example the staging site and the brief. Only the tabs you choose are included, and you can revoke the link at any time. See how to share a list of Chrome tabs with a link.
The Free plan includes up to 10 spaces. If you manage more active projects than that, Pro removes the limit.
